Dr. Jason Morgenstern
A new job for Dr. Jason Morgenstern means a return back home.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit tells myFM that Dr. Morgenstern is joining their staff as the new full-time Medical Officer of Health starting on April 3rd.
He grew up in Renfrew County before heading to University of Guelph and McMaster University for his medical studies, and tells us through a statement that he’s “very enthusiastic for the opportunity to return” and serve the community.
The RCDHU describes Morgenstern as a public health and preventive medicine specialist whose portfolio includes health protection, disease surveillance, and emergency preparedness with Halton Region Public Health, where he is currently employed.
Ann Aikens, the Chair for RCDHU’s Board of Health, says they believe “Dr. Morgenstern will provide excellent public health leadership to our organization, our Health and Social Service partners and our residents.”
She adds that they look forward to welcoming him home as the RCDHU continues to promote their goal of “Optimal Health for All in Renfrew County and District”.
