The Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC) is moving their office space from the Shady Nook Centre in Laurentian Valley to the Carefor building in Pembroke.
In a report presented to the County of Renfrew Health Committee on Wednesday (February 15th, 2023), Director of Emergency Services and Chief Paramedic Michael Nolan, said it’s anticipated that RC VTAC will move to 425 Cecilia Street in Pembroke the week of February 13th with an official opening on February 20th.
The two month lease will start February 1st and has the option to be extended with the same terms and conditions.
County Council will vote on the planned move later this month.
The County of Renfrew continues to push for sustainable funding for RC VTAC as funding for the health care service is only guaranteed until March, 31st, 2023.
