Chair of the Ontario Winter Games Committee and Renfrew County Warden Peter Emon shows off some pieces of official Ontario Winter Games merchandise during the August meeting of Renfrew County Council.
The Ontario Winter Games are coming to Renfrew County early in 2023. The event is less than 50-days away and will bring thousands of athletes, coaches and family members to the region. Renfrew County Warden Peter Emon says you can get your swag online now leading up to the Ontario Winter Games and adds volunteers who sign up for a 5-hour shift will get entered in to win a special prize.
The County of Renfrew has also launched a 24-days of sport advent calendar on social media that features all the different events. Emon says they will be posting more on social media leading up to the games.
Emon says they are still looking for some sponsors to help support the games.
The Ontario Winter Games will be held the first two weekends in February (Feb. 2nd to 5th and Feb. 9th to 12th).
You can sign up to volunteer online here.
