The OPP has arrested and charged a resident from Arnprior who was driving a stolen vehicle. The Renfrew OPP says they observed a vehicle driven erratically in McNab/Braeside around 4:15pm on Saturday, December 17th. Police officers attempted to make a traffic stop and the driver fled, lost control and drove into the ditch. The OPP says two people were arrested at the scene and one was charged.
As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old Scott Michael Sullivan of Arnprior was charged with eight counts of operation while prohibited, failure to comply with a release order, failure to comply with probation, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, flight from police, dangerous operation, mischief under $5,000, resisting a peace officer, driving with unsealed liquor, driving with cannabis readily available, obstructing a plate, attempting to pass when roadway not clear and for driving while under suspension.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
