The County of Renfrew has recognized individuals who are not returning for the next term of County Council.
There will be many new faces in the County of Renfrew council chambers with nine of the seventeen elected representatives not be returning.
Among those is Janice Tiedje from Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards, the longest serving current member of County Council with 34-years of experience.
Five time Warden for the County of Renfrew and long-time Petawawa Mayor Bob Sweet will also not be returning to the County Council table.
Current Warden Debbie Robinson did not seek re-election and will not be returning for the next term of council.
Other County Councillors who will not serve another term include Sheldon Keller of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan, Tom Peckett of McNab/Braeside, Brian Hunt of Greater Madawaska, Jed Reinwald of Laurentian Hills, Cathy Regier of Whitewater Region and Kim Love from Madawaska Valley.
The inaugural meeting of County Council will be held on November 23rd.
At their October 26th meeting, County Council also recognized staff who have achieved employment milestones. This year the County of Renfrew will be recognizing 73 service award recipients who have between 10 to 40 years of service and 27 retirees representing a loss of 584 years of service.
