The Township of Whitewater Region will be recounting votes after two candidates are less than ten votes apart.
The automatic recount will be for candidates Joey Trimm (1,188 votes) and Daryl McLaughlin (1,181 votes) who were separated by a total of seven votes.
The recount will be held on October 28, 2022, at 1:00pm downstairs in the boardroom of the Township Office at 44 Main Street in Cobden.
Only the clerk, election officials, candidates for council or their lawyer/scrutineer can be present.
The results will be issued following the recount.
