Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant believes excessive carbon tax increases are crippling Canadians abilities to cope, and said so recently in the House of Commons.
The two residents thought doubling last year’s bill was excessive, but have learned this year the hike will be even worse- a suggested 24 hundred dollar price has the pair chirping.
Gallant wants to see plans to triple the carbon tax cancelled.
It was Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, Jonathan Wilkinson who responded, suggesting that any cancellation or alteration of the existing tax would impact the rebate Canadians receive from the Federal Government.
