Pembroke candidate Jane Wood will not be able to attend the all-candidates evening at Festival Hall due to a previous commitment.
The event was originally scheduled for October 3rd, but had to be pushed back to Thursday, October 13th.
The all-candidates evening will start at 6:30pm at Festival Hall in Pembroke with doors opening at 5:30pm.
There is no cost to attend the all-candidates evening and those who show up will have an opportunity to write down any questions they would like to hear the candidates answer.
The all-candidates evening at Festival Hall will also be televised on YourTV for those unable to make it out in person.
Since the 14 other candidates attending the event will be provided with two minutes for opening statements and a minute for closing remarks, myFM allowed Wood to send comments beforehand to ensure the community had an opportunity to hear her election platform.
You can listen to the opening and closing statements from Wood here.
Wood wants to move Pembroke forward and is campaigning with candidates Chéla Breckon and Dorian Pearce to make the City a place where everyone belongs. As a business owner, military veteran and trained financial officer, Wood knows how to stretch dollars and plans to respond to the needs of Pembroke by listening to local residents.
Jane Wood, Chéla Breckon and Dorian Pearce are three of the candidates running for Pembroke City Council. Other people running for council in Pembroke include Brian Abdallah, Dan Callaghan, Andrew (Andy) Clark, Ed Jacyno, Ian Kuehl, Patricia (Pat) Lafreniere, Jason Laronde, Andrew Plummer, Troy Purcell, Stacy Taylor, Wade Wallace and Karen Walsh.
The candidates event is sponsored by Pembroke Mitsubishi, Hyundai Pembroke, Family Auto Rentals and Ottawa Valley Yamaha Motor Sports and Marine.
