A familiar name will be back on the ballot in the Petawawa election. Murrary Rutz is once again seeking a spot on town council. He tells myFM that he has the experience and leadership to continue his roll.
He goes on to say that the job is all about working for the municipality.
The long time councilor mentions that going forward, he has big plans for the town.
Rutz has called Petawawa home for the last 35 years and goes on to say that he will continue to encourage a strong working relationship with Garrison Petawawa and with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and support existing local businesses while trying to attract new entrepreneurs. Over the years, he supported investing $1.3 million into upgrades at the Petawawa Civic Center, voted in favor of the Community Improvement Plan and for fire department training and equipment upgrades. Murray is one of 11 candidates running for town council.
