Finding a home for sale in Renfrew County continues to be a challenge, according to stats from the Renfrew County Real Estate Board.
Just 151 homes were sold last month according to the latest round of figures from the real estate board, down 17.5% percent over last August.
There were 373 active listings at the end of August, down 19.4% percent compared to last year and 31.6% against the five year average.
The average home cost $424,534 last month, down just 0.2% from August of 2021.
That being said, homes are still more expensive than ever as the ongoing draught of homes for sale has contributed to an expensive price tag on many that have reached the market. The average price of a home for the first eight months of this year sits at $475,361, up 19.8% from the same period of time in 2021.
