The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is getting ready to welcome students back into the classroom.
Director of Education Pino Buffone says the first thing parents and guardians can expect to see when they enter the schools is the smiling faces of staff.
The Director of Education says 96 percent of students will be returning to the classroom with a small portion of elementary students and high school students continuing with virtual learning.
Buffone says local schools are prepared to deal with any COVID-19 cases as they arise and will follow any guidelines by the Renfrew County and District Health Unit.
The RCDSB is also looking forward to resuming extra-curricular activities where possible.
Updates about the upcoming school year are available on the RCDSB website or by following them on social media.
