Jody Anne McDonald is running to be the next Mayor of the Town of Petawawa. She is one of two candidates running for Mayor in the October 24th municipal election. McDonald is a 5th generation resident of Petawawa and is running on family values.
McDonald is the first female candidate running for Mayor in Petawawa and hopes to inspire other candidates in the future.
McDonald is an entrepreneur, an elementary school teacher, a mother of four and grandmother. She wants to hear from local residents adding it’s the role and responsibility of the Mayor to listen to people and make positive decisions.
McDonald talked to long-time Mayor Bob Sweet and when she found out he wasn’t running for re-election she said it was time to put her name in.
McDonald is running against Gary Serviss to be the next Mayor for the Town of Petawawa.
