There’s a water safety event coming up at Black Bear Beach on Garrison Petawawa. The event will be held on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, from 3:30pm to 7:00pm. Aquatics Coordinator Marie Lemelin says this is the 4th annual water safety event and first time that they’re able to offer this event since the pandemic started. She adds water safety is so important especially since our community is surrounded by many different bodies of water.
Lemelin says the Water Safety Event to help raise awareness about water safety
and drowning prevention during the National Drowning Prevention Week.
The water safety event will have activities for all ages, including bouncy castles, cotton candy, Swim to Survive swim lessons, Junior Lifeguard Club course, CPR’C certification course, SUP Yoga lesson, information booths and more.
The activities at the event are free and you can register online.
