The first ever Pontiac Pride Festival is happening this weekend. Community Engagement and Outreach Manager with the Pontiac Connexions Resource Centre, Michele Gagnon, says it’s a youth and community festival.
The Pontiac Pride Festival will take place at Le Patro in Fort-Coulonge (209 Chemin de la Passe)
Gagnon says they hope to make it an annual event, adding they’re already starting to plan for celebrations in 2023.
The free event takes place Saturday, June 11th, from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Registration is recommended so organizers can plan how much food to bring.
There will be free transportation options for youth between the ages of 11 and 17 through the Maison des Jeunes du Pontiac.
