The County of Renfrew is moving forward with plans that would require All Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s) to have trail passes to ride on the Algonquin and K&P Trails.
At the end of May, county council approved the trail pass requirements pending successful negotiation with the ATV Club.
County staff have also been directed to renegotiate the existing agreement with the Renfrew County ATV Club to include an annual contribution to local trails.
County staff are not aware of any municipal multi-use trail (motorized and non-motorized) that does not require an ATV trail pass in Eastern Ontario.
