There’s a new logo for the Petawawa Public Library. Library CEO Lisa Worobec says the new logo is welcoming, fun and features a bear reading a book with colours reflecting some of the nature Petawawa has to offer.
Community Outreach Technician Sarah St. Michael says the Petawawa Public Library will be hosting a Discovery Day on Saturday, June 18th. She says the event will celebrate the new direction and brand of the library and also highlight some resources and activities local residents may not be aware of.
The day will kick off with a land acknowledgement statement and include a French language story time, adult writers club (pre-registration required), cake and refreshments at 11:30am (limited supply), displays and information from the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre and Local Immigration Partnership, fathers day card making, a day long library scavenger hunt, garden story walk and newcomer connect meet-up program.
With the midway taking place the same day, you’re encouraged to come early to find parking.
The Petawawa Public Library Discovery Day will run from 10:00am to 4:30pm on Saturday, June 18th.
