It’s been a couple of years, but Geek Fest returns to the Deep River Arena this weekend.
Jay Crawford is one of the event organizers, along with Catherine White, Colton Kyle and Johnny Gorrell, and he says they have 50 vendors, contests, special guests, photo ops, workshops and tournaments.
The cost is $5 a day with kids 10 and under getting in for free with a parent or guardian.
Crawford says the event will have something for everyone to enjoy and invites all residents to come to Deep River this weekend.
Sunday there’s a cosplay contest with audience participation and homemade costumes encouraged.
Doors open at the Deep River Arena at 11:00am on Saturday, May 21st for Geek Fest and the event continues until 7:00pm.
Crawford says they will also have an author talk with Robert Bockstael and a 10th anniversary movie showing at the Deep River Legion for one of the films from Anthony D.P Mann who will be in attendance at the Deep River Geek Fest.
Geek Fest continues on Sunday, May 22nd from 10:00am to 5:00pm for the second day of fun and entertainment.
