The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says water levels on the Ottawa River will rise over the next week, but there is nothing to worry about. The ministry has issued a water safety statement, saying that water levels on river are expected to rise, but within normal levels. However, officials say that everyone should still be cautious when near rivers and to stay away from open and fast flowing water, culverts, and dams.
The Pembroke District could see precipitation accumulations between 20mm – 30mm over the next 5 days. Daytime highs over the next week are forecast to reach low to mid teens, with overnight lows falling below zero over the weekend.
