Buying a home in Renfrew County is still an incredibly pricy venture, according to the Renfrew County Real Estate Board.
In their latest update, the Board says the average price of a house in the area sold through their MLS System was over $491,000 for the first two months of the year, up 43 per-cent over the same time last year.
That price tag only gets bigger when looking at February on it’s own, as prices reached record highs of over $493,000, up 41 per-cent against February 2021.
This comes as new listings in the area for February totaled 146, down nearly 33 per-cent from 2021.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board adds that demand continues to outpace supply, with active listings in the area are almost 75 per-cent below the five year average in February.
