The City of Pembroke will have a new Mayor after this year’s election. Mayor Mike Lemay has stated that he will not be seeking re-election this year. With the seat set to become vacant, Deputy Mayor Ron Gervais is hoping to fill the void. On May 2nd, Gervais plans to file is nomination document and run for Mayor.
Gervais tells myFM news that over the last three terms on council he’s been able to balance his law practice, family values and serve his community at city hall. All of which he hopes to continue. He tells myFM news that he’s looking to continue the strong leadership.
Gervais also feels he’s done a good job for the city over the past three terms on council.
Gervais also has a long standing track record of volunteering in the city. Ron says he hopes to use his wealth of experience on council to continue the strong leadership of the city.
