December saw very little change in the number of homes on the local market, year over year.

The big change, looking year over year, saw the average price of homes sold in December 2021 at $446,606, a significant gain of 36.8% from December 2020.
The dollar value of all home sales in December 2021 was $48.2 million, up by 35.5% from the same month in 2020- which was a new record for the month of December.
Home listings were way off; December 2021’s total of 63 new entries was the lowest December in over a decade.
Active residential listings numbered 115 units on the market at the end of December, the lowest the month December in more than 15 years.
Active listings were 69.3% below the five-year average and 79.5% below the 10-year average for the month of December.
