A look along the path of the 1.5 km Laurentian Valley Skating Trail.
The Laurentian Valley Skating Trail is rebranding to the Four Seasons Trail.
The changes took place this month (January 2022) according to Mark Behm, the President of the volunteer group that oversees operations at the Four Seasons Trail.
Behm says the Township of Laurentian Valley has approved the formation of a committee to oversee the trail.
He adds they would like to branch out from being just a skating trail to something people can use year round.
Behm says in the spring and summer months after the snow and ice from the skating trail have melted, they have a walking or biking trail with hard packed gravel.
The President of the Four Seasons Trail also talked about the possibility of hosting fall or Halloween walks.
Plans are also in the works to renovate the old Timberline Snowmobile Clubhouse and turn it into the Laurentian Valley or “LV Lodge”.
The LV Lodge is located right next to the Four Seasons Trail at 2 Henan Road in Laurentian Valley, by the Alice & Fraser Recreation Centre.
The Four Seasons Trail in Laurentian Valley will attract people from all over to the area.
