Pembroke Valley Market Center is looking to develop in Laurentian Valley.
The property owner plans to develop land at the corner of Pembroke Street East (Highway 148) and Robinson Lane, by the Tim Hortons and Home Depot.
Township Planner Lauree Armstrong says the developer is planning a multi-phased development/redevelopment of the site with the first phase to be a commercial structure. She adds the developer is hoping to move through the approval process early in 2022 so construction can begin next year.
An agreement has been reached between the developer and township with costs for any legal services, engineering fees and registry office fees incurred by the Township to be paid by the property owner.
Council approved the agreement at their meeting Tuesday night (December 21st, 2021).
Pre-consultation has occurred for the proposed commercial development.
