COVID-19 cases in Renfrew County and District are on the rise.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting 58 cases in the last 7-days.
Over the previous 7-days, 21 new cases were reported.
There are 59 active cases in the region, which includes two local residents who are in the hospital and 57 others in self-isolation.
The RCDHU is reporting five school outbreaks, two workplace outbreaks and two community outbreaks.
The case summary this week shows an additional 18 students and one staff member at a school or daycare have tested positive for COVID-19.
Three of the new infections are in healthcare workers, but none among residents of long-term care or retirement homes.
The other 36 cases reported in the last week are in community members across Renfrew County and District.
