UPDATE: SERVICE RESTORED TO COGECO CUSTOMERS
There is a wide-spread outage impacting Cogeco customers across the Ottawa Valley.
Currently phone, internet and TV services are down in Renfrew, Arnprior, Pembroke, Petawawa and the surrounding communities.
The outage was reported shortly after 1:00pm Wednesday afternoon.
Cogeco says the outage could last until 1:10am tomorrow morning (Thursday, December 9th, 2021).
The utility company is blaming the outage on a cut cable/fibre line.
Technicians are working to resolve the issue.
Updates will be provided on the Cogeco outage website.
We received confirmation that the issue impacting our services is a fiber cut. The damages are due to tree limbing activity; our technicians found chainsaw damage.
