Renfrew County Paramedic Chief and Algonquin College alumnus Mike Nolan has been recognized with a prestigious Premier’s Award.
The announcement came last Friday at a virtual ceremony celebrating Ontario’s outstanding college graduates.
While Nolan appreciates the accolade, he says its not about him.
The EMS Chief acknowledges that the number of innovations that have gained Province-wide attention all stem from the local shortage of family physicians.
The Premier’s Awards recognize college graduates making important social and economic contributions to Ontario, and are administered by Colleges Ontario.
Nolan gives a shout out to his alma mater, which thirty years ago now gave him a basic skill set that formed a good grounding in the profession.
Mike Nolan has been Chief of the Paramedic Service and Director of Emergency Services for the County of Renfrew since 2004.
