Petawawa is looking ahead to some projects next year.
The community services budget notes were presented to council Monday night (November 8th, 2021).
There is work planned in 2022 at local parks, along the Algonquin Trail and for the towns 25th anniversary celebration.
Some of the community services projects include the construction of the Laurentian Highlands Park at $385,000, $40,000 for the play structure replacement at the Fish Hatchery Park, the construction of a comfort station along the Algonquin Trail as as part of the towns legacy project, budgeted at $226,000, rehabilitation and repairs to the tennis courts lights at $50,000, replacing the ice resurfacer is expected to cost $80,000 and $132,000 is budgeted for the 25th anniversary celebration for the Town of Petawawa.
Another $25,000 is budgeted for streetscaping, entrance improvements and dock rehabilitation at the Petawawa Point.
The information was received by council and will be forwarded to the Town of Petawawa budget workshop for consideration in 2022.
