The Upper Ottawa Valley says a 14-year-old from Laurentian Hills has been “formally cautioned” under the youth criminal justice act after threats were received at an elementary school in Petawawa.
The OPP says Friday morning (October 22nd), officers started investigating after a principal reported threats to the safety of a student and the school had been made on social media.
Police say the youth was warned and their parent was notified.
The OPP takes all public safety threats seriously and the police and school continue to work together to ensure a safe and productive learning environment for everyone.
