The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s Mobile Animal Wellness Services Unit has rolled into Pembroke for a three-day spay/neuter clinic to help reduce pet overpopulation.
The 38-foot SPCA Mobile Animal Wellness Services Unit will be stationed outside the Pembroke Legion (202 Pembroke Street East) from October 4th to the 6th.
All 68 surgery appointments were filled within hours of registration opening.
These procedures will prevent an estimated 3,600 potentially unwanted puppies and kittens.
Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Chief Veterinary Officer Magdalena Smrdelj says this clinic is part of the Ontario SPCA’s ongoing efforts to reduce pet overpopulation.
