Thanks to a $14.7-million investment, 42 communities across Ontario will be connected to reliable high speed internet.
Funding will be split up and used for 13 projects across the province.
Minister of Infrastructure Kinga Surma says this investment will connect over 17,000 homes and businesses to help ensure no one is left behind in today’s digital world.
Eganville and Bancroft are among 13 communities (including: Akwesane First Nation, Athens, Gore Bay, Mallorytown, Crysler, Tamworth, Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Tweed, North Stormont and Maxville) that will see $5.4-million dollars used to provide increased access to high speed internet to 5,254 homes and business.
