Two people have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into what police are calling a suspicious death.
The OPP was called out to the Pine Tree Motel on Highway 60 in Eganville around 6:30pm on Wednesday night (July 21st, 2021) for a possible stabbing incident.
Despite life saving measures from Renfrew County Paramedics a 40-year-old male died from his injuries at the scene.
The Killaloe OPP arrested two males at the scene in connection with the death.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased or the accused individuals and there has been no mention of any charges at this time.
The investigation is in its early stages and police do not believe there is a risk to public safety.
The investigation remains ongoing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
