Whitewater Region Township’s Emergency Control Group has made a few operational decisions it would like you to be aware of:
Council will meet electronically in April.
Meetings scheduled for April 7th, 14th and 21st will be broadcast on the Township’s YouTube page.
Access to the Municipal Office’s front counter, Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 4PM, will be by appointment only. Please call in advance at 613-646-2282.
Departmental concerns can be addressed by connecting with the appropriate extension.
Dog tags and fire permits should be renewed or obtained via the municipal website.
There’s a dropbox to pay municipal bills or you can arrange pre-authorized payment or e-transfer of funds to the Township through your bank branch.
Landfill payments will be accepted by debit; mask up for your visit.
Normal road maintenance activities continue.
Community halls and arenas are closed. No indoor gatherings are permitted in municipal facilities and outdoor gatherings cannot exceed 5 people.
Parks and playgrounds are closed to competitive sport but otherwise open with appropriate COVID protocols.

The MNRF tracks water levels on the Ottawa River and the municipality has sandbags on hand if needed.
