The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) has confirmed an individual at Wise Owl Day Care Centre in Pembroke has tested positive for COVID-19.
The health unit says all close contacts have been given direction to go home immediately, self-isolate and arrange for testing.
The day care remains open for other clients and staff.
The RCDHU says they’re working closely with the Wise Owl Day Care Centre to ensure necessary measures continue to be in place to protect all staff, children and the public.
All high risk contacts will receive a standard text message from the RCDHU virtual assistant and called by Public Health Ontario within 24 hours, notifying them that they have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
