The Renfrew County and District Health Unit has confirmed a staff member linked to three local schools has tested positive for COVID-19.
The staff member is connected to Opeongo High School between Cobden and Eganville, Madawaska Valley District High School in Barry’s Bay and Sherwood Public School in Barry’s Bay.
All close contacts of the case have been sent home to isolate and arrange for testing.
The three schools remain open for in-person learning.
The local health unit is actively investigating the case and will contact any high risk contacts.
