Prairie and Luna is the first legal cannabis store in downtown Pembroke. Owners Jenna Horth and Quinn Bosel opened up the store-front cannabis shop in the Mews Mall (143 Pembroke Street West, Suite 10) on Sunday, October 18th. A little over two weeks into operating, Bosel says business has been good.
Prairie and Luna will have an official grand opening on Friday (November 6th) at 10:00am. Bosel says they will have discounts on staff favourites and little gift bags for the first 25 people in the doors Friday, Saturday and Sunday (November 6th to 8th).
The owners of Prairie and Luna made the transition from selling unique cannabis related products and accessories to becoming a fully licensed cannabis retail store. Bosel says they had to make a few changes to the storefront location, including blocking out visibility to people passing by and added security. She adds you’re welcome to come into the store and browse the selection of products with staff able to answer any questions you may have.
Prairie and Luna also offers online orders and customers can come pick up their products in-store by showing ID. The store owners encourage everyone to shop local at some of the great businesses in our community, especially as we head into the holiday season. Prairie and Luna appreciates the community support they’ve received so far despite some of the stigma still attached to cannabis.
Prairie and Luna is the third legal cannabis store in Renfrew County. Applications are under review for other similar shops in the Pembroke, Petawawa, Deep River, Renfrew and Arnprior areas.
