This is the 5th year the Petawawa Pantry Food Bank is running the Treat and Eat Campaign.
Co-founder and President for the local food bank Laurie Alton says normally donation boxes are placed at local homes, but due to COVID-19 they had to change things up this year.
Alton says last year 50 volunteers put donation boxes at their homes and this year volunteers are being asked to put out a cardboard box and collect donations on their street.
Alton says volunteers are needed and you can call the food bank (613-687-1616) for more information.
Donations are also accepted online with a full list of items needed on the Petawawa Pantry’s Website and social media pages.
