Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, faith and music on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the age of 74 years. John Stunt of Pembroke, beloved husband of Marnie (nee Chisholm). Loved and cherished father of Meghan Rogers (Johnny), Andrew Stunt (Simone Keane), Elizabeth Stunt (Seán Stephens) and Katherine Brohart (Michael). Loving grandfather of Johnny, Molly, Emma, Sam, John Josephand Elizabeth. Dear brother of Paul (Julia), Bill (Renata), Steve, Dean (Alison) and the late Howie Stunt. Son of the late Jack and Helen (nee Kelly) Stunt. John will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues.
Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Thursday July 30th, from 3–7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 31st at 11:00 a.m. in St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke. Inurnment St. Columba’s Cemetery. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS OF COVID-19 MANDATES, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY GIVEN TIME – FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND VISITATION AND FUNERAL MASS AND CEMETERY. Please feel free to bring your own face mask or one will be supplied to you at the Funeral Home. (Please call the funeral home at 613-735-5711 if you wish to attend the visitation or Funeral.
