Deep River will have a new Police Chief starting next month.
The North Renfrew Times is reporting that Upper Ottawa Valley OPP detachment manager, Staff Sergeant Dean Duchrow, will take over the new role with the Deep River Police Service on June 1st.
Duchrow has 30-years of police experience including time spent overseeing the Pembroke and Petawawa detachments.
Once COVID restrictions ease up the Deep River Police Service Board plans to have a more formal ceremony to welcome the new chief.
