The provincial special investigations unit says no charges will be laid following a collision involving an OPP officer back in September. An officer with the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP was involved in a crash with a minivan at the intersection of Petawawa Boulevard and Canadian Forces Drive, just out front of the Petawawa Market Mall. The 61-year-old female driver of the minivan sustained a concussion, while her front seat passenger, a 56-year-old male, sustained a fracture to his foot. The Director of the Special Investigations Unit has determined that the officer was not at fault and he is satisfied with how the officer operated his police vehicle. The case is now closed.
