Pembroke Regional Hospital has upgraded its X-ray equipment with new state of the art equipment in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
The new machines will increase imaging clarity and will have reduced radiation.
The imaging department team has been patiently waiting for the upgrade’s installation for the past year.
The machinery has been especially helpful to the Orthaepedic program, which focuses on treating injuries and conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system.
Jim Lungsten of Pembroke Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department says there are many benefits with the new equipment.
The previous X-ray machines were installed at Pembroke Regional Hospital over a decade and a half ago.
Now that upgrades have been completed, the hospital aims to better the patient experience.
