Bonnechere Caves near Eganville has been listed as one of the top 10 most unique places to visit in Canada. The local tourism destination in the Ottawa Valley was the only place in Ontario to make the list put together by Canada Stays. Co-owner of the Bonnechere Caves, Chris Hinsperger, says with so many amazing places to visit in across Canada, he’s honoured to have been mentioned.
Hinsperger says he’s excited the article also mentions local events such as the Tour de Bonnechere, fossil hunts at the Bonnechere Museum, Paddle and Fiddle event and dining and music nights at the Bonnechere Caves.
The co-owner of Bonnechere Caves says they hope to be open for the season by the May long weekend. Bonnechere Caves is joined on the list by Haida Gwaii and Osoyoos in British Columbia, Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park and Drumheller in Alberta, the Great Sandhills in Saskatchewan, Churchill in northern Manitoba, Magdalen Islands in Quebec, Lunenburg in Nova Scotia and the east coast community of Saint-Pierre and Miqulon in Newfoundland.
