Hydro One is still dealing with significant power outages in Eastern Ontario. Crews have been working through the day to assess and safely restore power to as many customers as possible.
Hydro One was able to restore power to approximately 65,000 customers impacted by a winter storm this weekend. Due to the severity of damage over 2,000 customers in the Barry’s Bay, Cobden, Eganville and Deep River area in Point Alexander will remain without power overnight.
Operation Centres will have emergency crews available throughout the night in all affected areas. Most areas are expected to have power back by 4:00pm Monday, December 16th.
The outage map will continue to be updated every 10 minutes. Residents are reminded to stay clear of any fallen power lines and if you spot a fallen line, keep at least 10 meters back, report it to the police and call Hydro One.
