The annual Regional Silver Stick Tournament kicks off on Friday afternoon at the Pembroke Memorial Centre. Tournament Director Norbert Chaput says it’s quite the milestone year for the tournament.
Twenty four hockey teams will be coming to town this weekend. Over the course of four weeks, 250 games will be played in the area. It’s also estimated that the silver stick tournament generates close to $6 million for the local economy.
