It’s an event that attracts bikers from around the Valley, and across the province. The 7th Annual Toys for Kids Ride hosted by Templar Knights Motorcycle Club is scheduled, rain or shine, Saturday September 7. Clint McWhirter says it’s an opportunity for the club to give back and support the most vulnerable in our community, the children.
Registration for the ride is 9am until 10:30 at the new Tourist Information Centre across from Walmart. Your registration cost is a brand new toy, for newborns right up to age 16. If you choose not to ride, donations are greatly appreciated. Toys collected will be given to the Phoenix Centre, which will distribute them to families in need this Christmas. In addition there’s a lunch at the Golden Age Activity Centre with funds raised to support senior programs in the Renfrew area.
