Seven young entrepreneurs are taking the next step in their business adventures in Renfrew County. Business Consultant with Enterprise Renfrew County, Colleen Sadler, says they have been running the Summer Company program since 2001 and helped guide over 134 entrepreneurs in that time. Sadler says there’s a wide variety of businesses being started across the county this year.
Sadler says the Summer Company program is for anyone ages 15 to 29 who is returning to school and considering starting up a business. She says the funding for the program comes from the province and says it’s exciting seeing youth taking on leadership roles in the community as entrepreneurs.
