The grand opening of the new splash pad in Laurentian Valley takes place this weekend. On Saturday, come out to Stafford Park on Third Avenue to cool off at the new 2,200 square foot splash pad. Party in the Park takes place between 9:00am and 5:00pm with something for everyone including a vendor show, bouncy castle, BBQ lunch, euchre tournament and fire department meet and greet. The ceremonial grand opening of the splash pad takes place at 10:00 am. Proceeds from the BBQ will be invested back into the park. Judging of the 3rd annual Junior Gardeners Competition will also showcase what local youth have been growing for the past month. The family friendly splash pad includes accessible play areas for all ages that are spaced out in a manner to allow easier supervision.
