Busy weekend for the Kings as they prepare for their home opener Sunday

Hockey Town Canada is coming alive once again. The Pembroke Lumber Kings are returning home to the PMC for the first time this season on Sunday. Before the game gets underway, the Lumber Kings will honour the Humbolt Broncos, the Junior A team that was devastated by a massive collision on their way to a playoff game last April. Sixteen players, coaching staff and other team personel lost their lives. Lumber Kings Owner and Head Coach, Dale McTavish says the ceremony will be something special.

The Kings have an impressive 4-1 record through the first couple of weeks in the young season. Game time on Sunday is 7pm. However, the Kings have one more road game before they come home, they are visiting Navan tonight and you can catch the game live, right here on 104.9 myFM beginning at 7:30.
