Christine Mitchell has lived and breathed the hospitality industry her entire life, and that has lead her to the position of Economic Development Officer for the Town of Petawawa. Mitchell paid for her education by working in the restaurant industry. Before that, she followed in her families’ footsteps by working in hotels and retail in the area. Mitchell graduated the business marketing program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. From there, she began her career in the North-West-Territories as a Property Manager. Christine then transferred to Yellowknife, where she worked as a banquet coordinator for the Explorer Hotels. After a few years, Mitchell came back to the Ottawa Valley, working in Quebec and eventually contract jobs with the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association, and Ottawa River Power Corporation before finding a permanent employment with the municipality of Petawawa.
