Manny Andre took home $11,257 as the Week 19 winner of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery, collecting his cheque on Oct. 21.
Dianne Ryan was named the Week 20 winner on Oct. 28, receiving $11,116.
The current round of Catch the Ace has raised $445,511 for the foundation’s Together, We Care campaign. That’s 2.5 times more than any previous campaign had raised at this point in the lottery.
Foundation executive director Roger Martin says the ongoing support is making a meaningful difference for patients and staff at Pembroke Regional Hospital.
The proceeds have already funded 11 new stretchers and medical chairs, a new lighting system for Labour and Delivery, three beds for Acute Mental Health and a staff duress system to improve workplace safety.
The foundation is now working toward purchasing a $200,000 operating room camera system to enhance surgical care. Catch the Ace has raised $53,301 toward that goal so far.
With the Ace of Spades still hidden, the foundation is encouraging residents to take part in the next draw.
Tickets and contest details are available at the PRH Foundation website.
