With several weeks left to go in Carefor’s “March with Melanie” fundraising campaign, Trevor Eggleton says it’s already been very successful.
According to Eggleton, director of communications, marketing and fundraising with Carefor, on top of the fundraising benefits, the campaign’s namesake Melanie Freeman has been overjoyed with the results so far.
The campaign allows Pembroke residents to donate and sign up to walk with Freeman between October 1st and December 24th to raise money for recreation programming at the Civic Complex and the Carefor Mackay Centre.
The campaign has already crossed the $14,000 mark, Eggleton says, with Freeman thrilled to see the community support her fundraiser so much.
Eggleton says the support the campaign is receiving validates the hard work Freeman and the rest of the Carefor team are doing.
Donations can be made on the March with Melanie webpage.
104.9 myFM is also donating to the fundraiser and challenging 100 local businesses to do the same.
So far, over $2,000 has been donated by local business owners. To contact myFM about the challenge, reach out to Melissa Siegel by email here.
